Friday 13 May 2022

 Dear Parents and Students,

We can look ahead now to the last three weeks of school. Next week, seniors have their last classes and final exams, and AP and IB exams finish.  Prom is May 21st. The following week is both Senior Week and Revision week, as seniors spend their final week together before graduation on the 28th, and 9th, 10th and 11th graders finish their coursework and prepare for final exams. Final exams take place May 30 - June 3rd, and then we say goodbye until next school year, which starts on August 2nd!

The final day for seniors to attend classes is Wednesday, May 18.  Senior alternative final assessments are due on May 18. Senior final exams are May 19 and May 20. Senior Week begins May 23 with a two day retreat, and concludes Saturday May 28th with Graduation. Graduation is by invitation only.

Farewell Assembly FYI

Our Farewell Assembly will be held Tuesday, May 24th during Crew. This is the time that we acknowledge and celebrate all of our ‘leavers’- students and teachers who will be leaving AISC at the end of the school year. Although bittersweet, we do look forward to this important step in the transition process with the goal to end the year well.

Seniors will be notified via email for any outstanding books/materials to be returned back to teachers/departments.

The office will start preparing documents once all school materials and fees are accounted for. All transfer certificates/past records will be issued after Graduation on May 30th. Please email Ms. Priya at spriya@aischennai.org  to confirm a convenient time for document pick-up.

Repeat Announcement: Semester 2 Final Exams and Alternative Final Assessments

The schedule for semester final exams and alternative final assessments can be found here. Final exam week is Monday, May 30 - Friday, June 3.  Revision week, during which students revise for the final exams or complete alternative final assessments is Tuesday, May 24 - Friday, May 27. If a student has an alternative final assessment, they do not have a final exam in that subject during final exam week.

During exam week, students should enter school at the regular time of 8:30 am. If students have only a morning exam, they can leave campus after finishing the morning exam.  Students are expected to take all exams in-person.

To inform travel plans: HS students are not obligated to attend school after their last exam. Teachers will be present and available for any needs through 3:30 pm on Friday, June 3rd.

Semester 2 report cards will be available on Wednesday, June 8.

Have great weekend,
