Dear Parents and Students,
Greetings as we look forward to being back in-person next week. Please refer to Andrew’s Head’s Notes and detailed RaptorSafe protocols therein for returning to campus next Tuesday.
What’s different as we re-start in person on February 1st?
No cloth masks - N95 masks are recommended and are available at the school entrances. Surgical and KN95 masks are also acceptable.
RATs every morning - Kits are available at the school entrances.
Lunch and snacks will be eaten outside.
No open gym or before or after school in-person club/activities meetings. Lunch meetings must be virtual or outside.
We will move as quickly as we can to have clubs and activities meet on campus, to re-open the gym and continue to get back to in-person group meetings.
Events At-A-Glance
Schedule for January 31 - February 11, 2022
As you know, we are shifting back to in-person starting on Tuesday, February 1st. Monday, January 31st is virtual. Please see Andrew’s Head’s Notes for a full explanation.
Reminder on Drop off and pick up times
Each grade level should arrive at school and be picked up from school at the listed times. Each family should drop off and pick up based on their youngest child. High School students (without MS or ES siblings), should be picked up on the far side of the entrance driveway–that is, HS students need to cross the driveway to the far sidewalk. Thank you for helping us safely and efficiently begin and end the school day.

Challenge Success Survey Tuesday, February 1,2022
Each year in Semester 2, we survey high school and middle school students about their wellbeing. Every other year, we use the Challenge Success Stanford Student Experience Survey to understand where our students experience across a range of wellbeing indicators. This year, our survey will take place on February 1. Please see this letter with a full explanation and the opt out process.
Attention Grade 11th grade Students & Parents - Junior Class College Night
Please join the High School Counselors for Junior Class College Night on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:00 pm. Link here. This is an important event for Juniors to officially kick-off the college application process. The presentation will not be country specific. Counselors will outline steps that students should take to be prepared for college applications regardless of their destination. There will be a focus on best ways to build a college list and next steps in the application process as well as how parents can support students. The HS Counselors hope to see all members of the Class of 2023 and their parents on this important evening! Link here
Course Request and Registration for 2022-2023: Students can enter course requests in Powerschool through February 8th
Students will be entering course requests themselves starting today through PowerSchool. Course request screens (a unique screen for each grade level) will be accessible through Feb 8th. The following slides include links to the curriculum guide and on slide 23, links to videos walk-throughs about the course requests process in PowerSchool. Students thus have nearly two weeks to access their course request screens and enter and submit their course requests, working from their course request form, accessible from their Schoology Dashboard.
If students have any questions or challenges with course requests, they should email Ms. Priya and their counselor.
