Grade 10 and 12 Students Hybrid Schedule
The first week of February is a full five day week. As such, eligible Grade 10 and 12 Mango Group students will attend classes on campus on Monday and Tuesday while eligible Grade 10 and 12 Blue Group students will attend classes on campus on Thursday and Friday. All Grade 10 and 12 students will study virtually at home on Wednesday.
Grade 10 and 12 Orientation for Students Coming to Campus the First Time
Families who have completed the parent permission and health form to authorize their child to come to campus in the last week have had an orientation date assigned (February 1 for Mango, February 4 for Blue). Such students will get a direct email with reminders about orientation procedures the day before they come to campus. Students attending orientation should arrive on campus between 8:15 - 8:30 am and report directly to the Madras Hall. Orientation will begin promptly at 8:30 am.
Parents must remember to complete the Parent Locker Attestation before sending their child to school each day. New student IDs will be available for collection before health screening with the Parent Locker QR code on the ID to display during the health screening.
A reminder that returning to campus is a choice. Families who prefer to delay a return to campus can rest assured that additional intake orientations will be run weekly for the remainder of the month and into March as well as directly after Spring Break.
Borrowing Materials from the CIC - A Note from Ms. Marion
Students and parents are now able to request materials from the libraries via Google forms. Please use this online form to make requests. Materials will be checked out, sanitized, and delivered to the location indicated on the form. Materials can be returned to the blue box at the front of the school or brought directly to the CIC. Upon return, all materials will be put through the UV tunnel to ensure safety for the next user. Please let Marion (wmarion@aischennai.org) know if you have any questions.

Score Distribution for Semester One - 2020/21
Below please find the score distribution for semester one (December 2020) from this academic year (in red). The curve (in blue) represents the progress report score distribution in October, 2020. You can see that the curve has changed only slightly, with fewer fours and more eights reported in final scores.
As a reminder, a score of 5 or above represents proficiency with the standards. The goal is for all students to reach proficiency with standards in all courses. Students who are not only proficient but exemplary in their understanding of the standards earn a score of 7 or above.
At the end of term, 87% of the scores earned were in the proficient or exemplary score bands.
Should parents or students have questions about academic achievement in any particular course, they are encouraged to reach out directly to the teacher for more information and support.
