Dear Students and Parents,
What a great week having some students on campus!
Note: Thursday, January 28 has been declared a state-wide public holiday for the Thaipoosam Festival by the honorable Chief Minister. AISC’s Virtual Learning program and all campus activities are canceled for that day.
Grade 10 and 12 Students Who Completed Orientation - Next Steps
Students who attended orientation this week will return to their regular timetable two days a week on campus and three days a week virtually.
As next week is a shortened week, Mango group students will come to campus on Monday and Wednesday and Blue group students will come to campus on Friday as Thursday is now a holiday.
The following week (February 1 - 5), Mango group will come to campus on Monday and Tuesday, all students will study at home virtually Wednesday and Blue group will come to campus on Friday.
Grade 10 and 12 Students Who Did Not Attend Orientation - Next Steps
Students in grades 10 and 12 who were in quarantine this week or have decided to delay their return to campus should note that the next available time orientation is February 1st for students in the Mango group and February 4th for students in the Blue group.
There are no orientations in the coming week, so students should plan on studying virtually from home. We know this may be a disappointment for some students. We are hopeful that the first week of hybrid classes with students who have already completed their one-day orientation will go smoothly so we are able to condense future orientation, allowing students to return to their regular classes more quickly.
We appreciate your help and support as we put the health and safety of students first.
Report Cards and Documentation Availability
Report cards were emailed home today. Students who would like a paper copy can contact the office on or after that date to make arrangements.
Families who may need/want paper copies of report cards, transcripts or other documentation should contact Priya to make arrangements. Grade 10 and 12 students who are coming to campus can collect requested items on their designated day on campus. All others can make arrangements with Priya for pick up from security.

We are ready and eager to launch our hybrid program in the high school. If you would like more detail on the purpose and setup of the hybrid systems, here is the video of a recent parent coffee on the subject: Parent Coffee, Jan. 21, 2021, Hybrid Learning at AISC
We discussed what hybrid classrooms look like, how they function, and what students can do to be ready for hybrid classroom learning. Questions? Feel free to email me: cgreg@aischennai.org
