Grade 10 and 12 Students - Preparing to Return to Campus
Grade 10 and 12 students who may choose to return to campus must complete an in-person orientation before attending classes. In order to qualify for orientation, families must submit the signed parent permission form, an updated health form and the completed parent locker attestation on the day of orientation. Additional forms are needed only for students that take prescribed medication during the day while on campus and for students that have allergies or asthma. Please note, a student will not be allowed to enter campus on their assigned day of orientation if their paperwork has not been submitted or they do not get clearance from the Parent Locker Application. The student will be asked to wait in the drop off area for their parent or driver to return and collect them.
Upcoming orientation dates are as follows:
Grade 10 Mango (last names A-K) - Tuesday, January 19th
Grade 12 Mango (last names A-K) - Wednesday, January 20th
Grade 10 Blue (last names L-Z) - Thursday, January 21st
Grade 12 Blue (last names L-Z) - Friday, January 22nd
At this point we cannot shift students between color cohorts. Initial cohorting is important for health and safety as students learn to be around one another again as well as learn the procedures of navigating campus and classrooms.
During the week of grade 10 and 12 orientation, students will only come to campus on their designated day and will, otherwise, study virtually from home. The following week (January 25-29) students who completed the orientation will resume classes on campus on their designated color days and will, otherwise, study virtually at home.
Grade 10 and 12 Mango - Monday and Wednesday, January 25 and 27
Grade 10 and 12 Blue - Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29
Once a family has given permission for a student to return to campus, it is the expectation of the school for that student to attend for the full day on every day his/her cohort is eligible. This will allow us to plan effectively for the number of students we will have on campus, to track attendance and to do contract tracing should the need arise. If a student returns to campus and, at a later date, changes his/her mind and wishes to return to virtual learning, the family should contact the principal for a video conference. Such requests will be honored and documented.
Students who opt not to attend orientation next week and wish to begin attending school later in the semester must contact the principal to determine the next available orientation date. To support students and teachers in adjusting to the initial opening of campus, the next round of orientation intake sessions for grade 10 and 12 will take place the first week of February. To reiterate, students must complete the in-person orientation before they can study on campus.
As has been stated previously, students who wish to remain virtual have the option to do so for as long as they wish.
Report Cards and Documentation Availability
Report cards will be available at 4:00 pm on January 22nd and will be emailed home as a pdf that day. Students who would like a paper copy can contact the office on or after that date to make arrangements.
Families who may need/want paper copies of report cards, transcripts or other documentation should contact Priya to make arrangements. Grade 10 and 12 students who are coming to campus can collect requested items on their designated day on campus. All others can make arrangements with Priya for pick up from security.
Yearbook Headshots - An Announcement from Communications

You can use the back camera of a mobile phone to take your child’s photo. The Google Form has detailed info on taking a good photo.
Make sure you use a plain background with no pictures or decor.
[IMPORTANT]: Rename your child’s photo accordingly. We will not be able to accept submissions if you do not rename the photo.

Upcoming Parent Coffee - A Note from the Counselors
On Tuesday, January 19th, from 8:45 to 9:45 am (IST), the counselors will host a parent coffee with details about the upcoming course registration process for the 2021-2022 school year. We will discuss the course registration timeline, courses offered in 2021-2022, and personalized learning options. HS Library is open for checkouts!
Starting January 18th, faculty and staff are invited to request materials from the HS Library via Google forms. Please use this online form to request materials, and library staff will prioritize gathering materials for delivery. Please let Marion know if you have any questions.
