Help Lab Up and Running Monday
Starting Monday, students who feel they need a little extra help with a particular modular task can sign up for an appointment in our Help Lab. Please note that this is not a general tutoring service. Instead, students should come prepared to the session with specific needs/assignments in mind. Students can access the sign up form and live links here.
Attendance Posted on Monday
A reminder that attendance for the first module will be posted on Monday by 4:00 pm.
Families will see nothing reflected in PowerSchool if the student was marked present.
if a student is absent from this first module, you will see that listed for either August 20th (Day 1 classes) or 21st (Day 2 classes), depending upon where the last class fell on the calendar.
In case you are having any difficulty finding attendance on PowerSchool please click on “Quick Links” and, then, “Grades and Attendance.” You will be able to see a list of all courses with the attendance codes to the left.
A reminder that no code means the student was present.

Communicating with Teachers
Please note that while PowerSchool does give the option of sending a message directly to teachers within the system, the system is not always reliable. If you need to communicate directly with a teacher, direct email is best. Please allow 24 hours for a response.
Virtual Back to School Night - Next Week
Our annual Back to School Night is going virtual! On Thursday, August 27th, parents will have the opportunity to attend video conferences in order to meet their children’s teachers. The afternoon will kick off at 4:00 pm with a brief welcome and, then, parents will follow a short-form “day in the life” of their children. The schedule for the evening along with all video conference links can be found here. Links will be live on the day of the event.
UN International Day of Peace
The theme for the UN International Day of Peace this year is "Shaping Peace Together." We are working with many community members, students in Elementary to High School, and country representatives to celebrate the diverse cultures that make up our AISC community. Join us virtually on Friday, September 21, from 3:00–3:30 p.m. More details closer to the date.
Student Handbook - Updates and Signature Pages - Final Announcement
The High School Handbook is an important document for all families to reference. You can view a copy of the handbook on our website. Mike Malone created these highlights from the Handbook presentation with voice over to highlight changes from last year to this year and important-to-review sections in the handbook.
Kindly take some time to view this presentation and look at the handbook. We ask that all students and parents sign the final page of the handbook acknowledging an understanding of the key parts referring to rules and expectations. This year you can sign the page virtually by clicking here.
