#AISC25 Virtual Mela
The Advancement Office has launched a Digital Program ahead of the 25th Anniversary Virtual Mela on Friday, August 21, 2020 (1:00–4:00 p.m. IST). With activity descriptions and trailers, community partner information and other details, the Digital Program will help you plan your Mela Day so you can experience a birthday like no other at our largest virtual celebration!
With something for everyone across five categories (Cultural Experiences, Social Impact, AISC History, Art & Photography, & Upskilling Activities), our Virtual Mela is an intentionally planned celebration that invites community partners new and old to help us commemorate our 25-year legacy here in Chennai, India, and the world.
For a quick video primer on what to expect on Mela Day, watch this video.
So mark your calendars, watch partner trailers on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and see you on August 21!
Save the Date- Virtual Back to School Night
Our annual Back to School Night is going virtual! On Thursday, August 27th, parents will have the opportunity to attend video conferences in order to meet their children’s teachers. The afternoon will kick off at 4:00 pm with a brief welcome and, then, parents will follow a short-form “day in the life” of their children. The schedule for the evening along with all video conference links can be found here. Links will be live on the day of the event.
In Case You Missed It - Organizational Option
At the various boot camps and during a number of Crew and class sessions this organizational template was shared with students. Many thanks to Mr. Ben Fouchard for putting it together. He has created a helpful “how-to” video to guide students with its use.
Technical Glitch with PowerSchool - Attendance Reporting Update
Due to a technical glitch with PowerSchool please note that students who are “on track” with their modules will see nothing in their attendance on PowerSchool on Monday afternoon. Students who are falling behind will see “insufficient evidence”(IE) listed in PowerSchool as an indication that they are not keeping up with engagement expectations within their modules.
As such, in this instance, no news on Monday is good news.
MAP Testing Cancelled
Student Handbook - Updates and Signature Pages - Repeat Announcement
The High School Handbook is an important document for all families to reference. You can view a copy of the handbook on our website. Mike Malone created these highlights from the Handbook presentation with voice over to highlight changes from last year to this year and important-to-review sections in the handbook.
Kindly take some time to view this presentation and look at the handbook. We ask that all students and parents sign the final page of the handbook acknowledging an understanding of the key parts referring to rules and expectations. This year you can sign the page virtually by clicking here.
