Student to Teacher Feedback Surveys Coming Soon
On
Monday and Tuesday, October 21 and 22, students will be asked to complete a
short survey to give feedback to their teachers. We ask students to be honest,
constructive and specific in their feedback. Teachers will share the broad
strokes of their results in early November. The schedule we will follow to
administer the surveys is as follows:

Block 1
will complete the survey for block 2 teachers
Block 2
will complete the survey for block 3 teachers
Block 3
will complete the survey for block 4 teachers
Block 4
will complete the survey for block 1 teachers
October
22
Block 5
will complete the survey for block 6 teachers
Block 6
will complete the survey for block 7 teachers

A Note from the EAL Program Director - Upcoming
Parent Coffee
The
first of four English as an Additional Language (EAL) Coffees will be next
Thursday, 17 October from 8:45-9:45am in the BBT. We will be focusing on AISC's
Language Philosophy and what it means for all students, not just our English
language learners. We will examine what current research says about
language development and how it shapes our EAL Program. There will be plenty of
time for participants to ask questions and seek clarification. So, if you are
interested (and I hope you are!) mark your calendar for next Thursday, BBT,
8:45-9:45pm. If you can't make the coffee but have a question, feel free to
email me, ssarah@aischennai.org, at any time.
Next Early Release Wednesday
The next
Early Release Wednesday will be on October 23rd. Students are expected to
depart campus in a timely and organized fashion upon dismissal at 2:00 pm. For
our Middle and High School students, a hot lunch will be served. Food services
in the iHub will close at 1:50 pm. Please note that the iHub will be open to
provide an air-conditioned waiting area until 2:40 pm in case drivers are
delayed. We appreciate your patience with traffic on these days as all three
sections are picking up students at the same time.
Next Progress Update Approaching - Repeat
Announcement
The next
Progress Update will be on Friday, October 18th. Teachers will make every
effort to have their marking up to date and posted by this date. Please feel
free to check PowerSchool anytime after 4:00 pm on Friday the 18th.
