In the New in India and Abroad - Vaping

A quick share of a few recent articles about the action India is taking regarding vaping. First, on September 19th, the New York Times reported on the potential ban of e-cigarette products countrywide. Then, the Times of India, on September 20th, gave greater context to the effort.  Health issues linked to vaping continue to surface in the United States and teens are now starting to speak out. You can watch some video footage about what teens have to say on this PBS News Hour website.  Finally, a group of parent activists has formed in the United States calling for regulatory and legislative change. More information about this effort can be found on their Parents Against Vaping website.

At school, we are posting information for students about the potential health risks of vaping as well as information about potential bans in India.

Next Early Release Wednesday - Repeat Announcement

The next Early Release Wednesday will be on October 9th. Students are expected to depart campus in a timely and organized fashion upon dismissal at 2:00 pm. For our Middle and High School students, a hot lunch will be served. Food services in the iHub will close at 1:50 pm. Please note that the iHub will be open to provide an air-conditioned waiting area until 2:40 pm in case drivers are delayed. We appreciate your patience with traffic on these days as all three sections are picking up students at the same time.

Sincerely,

Joelle Basnight
