Dear Students and Parents,
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2015! Please join us at graduation this Saturday at 4:00 pm in the AISC Auditorium!
Last Saturday night was our annual High School Prom and it was great fun for all who attended. Please join me in congratulating the Prom Committee as well as their advisor, Ed Doherty, for making the evening memorable. Here are a few pictures from the event.
Congratulations as well to our Math Matters team - a group of students looking to make a difference by organizing math education and competitions for underprivileged students in Chennai. This team was founded by Uday, Kaviyan and Gokul. Well done!
Exams Begin Monday
Semester exams for grades 9 - 11 begin on Monday. Students only need to be on campus during their exam time and, as such, are able to leave early and come late as needed. If you do not want your son/daughter to leave campus during exam week, please contact the office immediately. The exam schedule can be found here.
Yearbooks Distributed Tuesday
All students will be given a complimentary yearbook. Seniors received their yearbook during graduation rehearsal this week and underclassmen will receive them on Tuesday, June 2nd.
Discover India Update From Mr. McFarland
Last Day of School
This week students have been given a letter of commitment for their Discover India trips. These letters help us ensure that you're aware of the dates for the trip so conflicts can be avoided. Most trips have a planned departure on November 13th and return on the 19th. The letters also bring to your attention that the trips having no extra costs for families, however we have non-refundable expenses for the trips that would need to be recovered if there are last minute cancellations. If your son or daughter has not brought it home yet, have them stop by Mr. McFarland's office to pick theirs up.
Last Day of School
The final day of school for students is Friday, June 5th. We strongly encourage students to attend. We will begin the day with a farewell assembly to departing students and staff followed by an enjoyable mid-morning snack and, then, free time to say goodbye and sign yearbooks (and to complete and submit the check out form if not already done).
Student End of Year Check Out Forms
Once final exams begin and students no longer have need for their texts and supplies, please note that they are encouraged to pick up a check out form from the High School Office. This form must be completed before records are released. The form entails collecting signatures from teachers and other coordinators (e.g. librarian) to demonstrate that all school materials have been returned.
Lost and Found Items
Lost and Found items are stored near the MC rooms. Sonia David in the main reception holds the valuable items. Kindly visit these areas if your student has lost something.
The items that have been found will be displayed on tables in the main entrance from Wednesday, June 3rd through Friday, June 5th. Please stop by to see if any of these belong to your family. Those items not claimed by Friday, June 5th will be donated to local orphanages.
Sincerely,
