Updated Announcement: Changes in Attendance and Modules as we are 96% in-person

Attendance: Change in access to hybrid learning

Mr. Hoover announced to the community on February 17th that all students and families needed to share their intention to be virtual going forward.  At this time, seven HS students are virtual, and three intend to return to in-person in March. A large majority of HS classes are fully in-person.

Attendance change:

  • A student attending in-person, if they are absent, they will not have the hybrid option.

    • If they are unwell, traveling or for any other reason not in school, they will not Zoom into class.

    • They will use the module in Schoology to identify what material and assignments they have missed and complete what is required.

    • This is a return to pre-pandemic practice.

Module changes starting with Module 5

Teachers will make the following changs in Modules starting on March 7th, in Module 5:

  • We will return to full-block classes. That is, there will no longer be synch time and independent time. All students, in-person and virtual, will be expected to attend and participate in class activities for the full 85 minutes of every class.

Important note about virtual access for students in Covid protocol: If a student is required to be out of school due to Covid protocol, we will provide virtual access to class through hybrid learning as we have provided to date.  We all hope that we continue to be RaptorSafe and to have zero Covid cases in the HS community.
