Dear Students and Parents,
Congratulations SAISA athletes! We are so proud of our Raptors!
See you at the Feb Fling tomorrow!
Progress Update Today
As of 4:00 pm today teachers will reflect in PowerSchool any completed and marked assessments to date. Families should expect one or two formative or summative assessments to be reflected.
Course Registration Process Update
On Tuesday students entered their first choice courses for the 2019/20 school year in our student information system, PowerSchool. Between now and March 18th students have time to reflect on their choices, meet with their counselor and talk to their teachers. Students will be asked to verify their choices again in mid-March.
Calendar Change - Repeat Announcement
Please note that the High School Student Lifestyle Survey indicated on the community calendar for February 12th can be ignored. You may recall that earlier this year that middle and high school completed a Well Being survey as an alternative. We are still awaiting those results and will share them at our regularly scheduled April parent coffee.
Next Early Release Wednesday Coming - Repeat Announcement
The next Early Release Wednesday will be on February 20th. Students are expected to depart campus in a timely and organized fashion upon dismissal at 2:00 pm unless participating in the Wellness Summit. We appreciate your patience with traffic on these days as all three sections are picking up students at the same time. In preparation, please plan on allowing longer time for entry and exit to the school at release time. For our Middle and High School students, a hot lunch will be served. Please note that the iHub will be open to provide an air-conditioned waiting space until 2:40 pm in case drivers are delayed. Food services in the iHub will close at 1:50 pm.
Summer Programs
Please note that for the remainder of the year we will share this link to summer programs at the end the Principal’s Notes. If you have any questions about whether or not a summer program makes sense to pursue, please contact one of our counselors. Additional programs and resources will be added to this list as vendors contact us.
Sincerely,
Joelle Basnight
High School Principal
