A reminder that next Friday, January 25th, is a holiday and school will not be in session.
Semester Two Discovery Day
The High School will have a Discovery Day on Friday, February 1st. During this day students choose from a menu of activities that include service, academic and creative pursuits not directly tied to the regular curriculum. This is a great chance for students to explore something new! Attendance on this day is expected and absences will be noted for a B5 day.
Next Early Release Wednesday Coming - Repeat Announcement
The next Early Release Wednesday will be on January 23rd. Students are expected to depart campus in a timely and organized fashion upon dismissal at 2:00 pm unless participating in the Wellness Summit. We appreciate your patience with traffic on these days as all three sections are picking up students at the same time. In preparation, please plan on allowing longer time for entry and exit to the school at release time. For our Middle and High School students, a hot lunch will be served. Please note that the iHub will be open to provide an air-conditioned waiting space until 2:40 pm in case drivers are delayed. Food services in the iHub will close at 1:50 pm.
Yearbook Photo Makeup Session - Repeat Announcement
Students who are new to AISC or missed their opportunity to take a Yearbook photo should plan on stopping by the BBT on Wednesday, January 23rd between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to get their photo taken.
Report Cards and Transfer Material Availability - Final Announcement
Semester One Report Cards will be sent home to students on Wednesday, January 23rd. A week later the reports will be available for download online.
Families who are transitioning to a new school at the semester can collect all report cards and transfer documentation from January 23rd onwards.
Save the Date - January Parent Coffee - Final Announcement
The January parent coffee will take place on Tuesday, January 29th at 8:45 am in the BBT. The coffee is focused on the registration process and is appropriate to parents of students in grade 9, 10 and 11.
Directly after this coffee will be an optional AP and IB information session appropriate to parents of students in grade 8, 9 and 10.
Summer Programs
Please note that for the remainder of the year we will share this link to summer programs at the end the Principal’s Notes. If you have any questions about whether or not a summer program makes sense to pursue, please contact one of our counselors. Additional programs and resources will be added to this list as vendors contact us.
