place this Saturday at the Hilton Hotel from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. Dinner will
be provided as well as dancing and a photo booth.

Reflective students take
the time to think about their goals, their learning and their growth in
order to develop and sustain their lifelong learning. Reflective students wonder why and consider
how, plan self- and community improvement, seek feedback and apply it.
Reflective students seek to understand the connections between goals,
efforts and results in their and others' experiences. Reflective students examine and review their
own ideas and actions in relation to the world and consider their
interdependence and impact on others.
Grade 12: Nate Malone -
Nate has shown exceptional commitment to reflecting upon his skills and
understandings as he enters the IB examination period. He reviews his own work,
asks himself and others how to improve, and applies feedback thoughtfully.
Grade 11: HeeWon Hwang -
Heewon is able to take the tiniest amount of feedback and translate it into big
improvements. He seeks to understand the gap between his existing and desired
skills. He reflects on his own thinking and beliefs and is willing to change in
the face of a stronger argument. He consistently seeks feedback from teachers
and peers.
Vinay Sriram - Vinay
chooses to reflect individually and with his teachers about all his written and
spoken assessments. He is actively seeking ways to become a sophisticated communicator.
He explores how he can support his own learning, as well as how he may
get in his own way. This is a noteworthy approach for a student of his age.
Prannoy Thakore -
Prannoy, as a percussionist, has the unenviable job of juggling a lot of
equipment, a lot of ambiguity, and a lot of self direction. Prannoy regularly
asks questions, considers the answers, and returns with new ideas about how
concepts and techniques in one work can apply to others.
Innovators approach
challenges with confidence, and design novel solutions in the face of
uncertainty and change. Innovators are creative, resourceful, open-minded
and courageous, seeking new perspectives through inquiry, trial, error and
feedback. Innovators demonstrate a willingness to try new things, take
risks and share unique and original ideas. Innovators ask, "Why
not...?" and challenge and change the status quo through their ideas and
actions.
Grade 12: Jakob Knudsen -
Jakob has been a model of Design Cycle as he learns to play the guitar. He
listens, he works diligently and assesses his results.He spends extra time and
attention on planning his next round of work, asking questions and looking for
improvement in both his playing and practice techniques.
Grade 11: Aumkar Renavikar
- Aumkar was the only student on the Maker's Carnival planning team, his CAS
project. He helped bring this innovation to AISC, and he demonstrated
strong passion about the project's objectives, what he has learned working with
adults, and how the Carnival brought together makers of all kinds.
Grade 10: Mattieu Couto -
Matthieu excels at seeking solutions through inquiry and feedback from both his
peers and his teachers. He is open minded, resourceful and a risk taker. This
is evident in his work and in the continuous improvement he has dedicated
himself to all year.
Grade 9: Riku Oki - Riku
has shown incredible innovation skills in his Adventure Activities class. He was creative in his approach to constructing shelters as well as raft
building. Riku is courageous and always willing to try new things in this
class. He enjoys learning from his mistakes and growing his skillset.

marks the start of Senior Week! Congratulations seniors! Here is what to expect
throughout the week:

Parents who may want to attend the Graduation Walk to take photos are welcome to station themselves near the main office and/or near the spiral staircase between the elementary and middle school. The parade will begin at 10:00 am and will likely conclude by 10:15/20 am.
Seniors
will also be attending graduation practice on Thursday (10:30 am - 12:30 pm)
and Friday (12:30 - 4:15 pm).
Graduation Ceremony 2018
It is a
pleasure to extend to the community an invitation to this year’s Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony will take place on
Saturday, May 26th starting promptly at 4:00 pm. This will be followed by a
casual reception with refreshments and a photo booth.
Graduates
will receive five premium seating tickets for family and friends at their final
graduation practice. Any additional available premium seat tickets will be
circulated at that time.
Seniors
can collect additional open seating tickets at the same practice. These should
be for additional attendees from outside the community.
Community members
(students in grades 9-11, interested parents, etc.) can collect their own open seating tickets from the High School office as of Monday, May
21st, and need not wait to be presented a ticket from a graduate.
