Introducing Matthew McCarthy
Matthew
McCarthy joined AISC in August as an Associate Teacher and works primarily with
grade 9 students. Matthew is from Monterey, California and recently graduated
from university. He has also spent a lot of time as a basketball coach and camp
counselor. In that role he has enjoyed watching kids grow as they push
themselves outside their comfort zone. Mr. McCarthy loves connecting with
people, traveling and, of course, basketball. Not surprisingly, if he could trade
lives with anyone for 24 hours, it would be Michael Jordan!

made to all grade 9 students in Freshmen Seminar as well as at an optional grade
10/11 meeting on Friday after exams ended.

presentation will be schedule for early next calendar year.
Upcoming Semester Exams - Reminders -
Final Reminder
Today
we hosted our farewell assembly followed by some quiet revision and the first
exam session. Here is the exam schedule for next week: December 15 - December 21exam schedule here. Please
note that students are to be at the designated exam area 15 minutes before the
start of the exam.
During
the week of December 18th students need only be on campus during their exams.
We will allow all students to come and go from campus unless individual parents
indicate otherwise about their children. Students who choose to remain on
campus to study must be respectful of the revision needs of others. The library
is reserved for silent study. The iHub and HS Commons is reserved for quiet
group revision and break time socializing. Students who are disruptive to
others or found not to be using their revision time wisely will have their
parents notified and will be asked to leave campus.

Feature
For this newsletter onwards the final feature of the notes will
include links to various counseling resources from summer programming to
registration to college guidance.
Summer program information for 2018 is now available. Counselors
