Upcoming Parent Coffee - See you Tuesday!
The next High School Parent Coffee will be on Tuesday, March 15th in the BBT. The Head of the World Languages department, Monica Sandifer, will give a presentation about World Language study at AISC. This will be followed by a panel Q & A session for parents interested interested in learning more about the IB Diploma experience from a student perspective. Students currently enrolled in the IB will be on hand to answer questions from parents. Please help them prepare for the coffee by sending questions in advance to cangelia@aisch.org.
Course Registration for 2016/17 - Registration Verification
On March 15th students will receive a “registration verification” form printed from our student information system for a final registration check. Students interested in changing their initial course selections should collect any required teacher signatures, bring it home for a parent signature and, then, submit it to their counselor. All verification forms must be returned no later than March 29th. Additional schedule change beyond that date will be made in late May.
For your reference, the full curriculum guide can be found on AISC’s website on the high school page.
Spring Fest Is Almost Here!
Each year the Student Council hosts Spring Fest as a way to send off students for Spring Break and celebrate Holi, the spring festival of colors. After a half day of class students will break into their “houses” and compete in various events from trivia to basketball. The day comes to a close on the field with the opportunity to “throw colors” and water. It is suggested that students bring a change of clothing if they want to participate in the Holi celebration.
High School Exam Schedules for Semester Two
As you make your summer travel plans kindly keep in mind the end of year exam schedule. Senior exams run on May 18th and 19th while all other high school exams run from May 27th until June 2nd. Both schedules can be found here. Please note that we do not give exams early. The final day of school, June 2nd, will be a half day on which students will be able to say goodbye to friends before heading off on vacation. While attendance is not required on the final half day, students are strongly encouraged to attend.
