Dear AISC High School Community -

It was wonderful having all of the students back on campus this week.  I hope that everyone had as much fun getting started with classes as we did as the faculty and staff!

Moodle - We will continue using Moodle as our online learning platform.  Students have a Moodle page for each of their courses and it is important that they check them regularly.  Parents are able to access all of the pages in order to better follow what is happening in class.  Parents can visit Moodle by using the drop down “quick links” menu on the AISC webpage, clicking “enter as guest” and using the password raptors14.

Student Handbook Acknowledgement Forms - If you have not already done so, kindly sign and return the handbook acknowledgement form at your earliest convenience.  You will find the form at the back of the Handbook as the final page. It should be signed by both parents and students to indicate that you, as a family, have made yourselves familiar with the policies and procedures of the High School. The signed form can be submitted to the High School office.

Save the Dates! Back to School Night and High School Parent Coffee - Back to School Night will take place on August 19th beginning at 6:00 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the teachers and learn about each of the courses your son/daughter will be taking this academic year.  I hope to see everyone there!

Also coming up is the first Parent Coffee.  Please join me on August 26th at 8:45 am for an interactive discussion about “success” in school.  A short video will be shown in English with Korean subtitles.

Schedule Changes - The final day to make changes to a student schedule is Friday, August 14th. After this date no more student initiated changes will be made.

Grade 10 PCA Representative Needed - The PCA is looking for a parent to come forward as the liaison between the PCA and the High School Administration.  This is a great opportunity to serve the community.  Kindly send me an email at hsprincipal@aisch.org if you are interested in helping and I will pass along the information to the PCA.

Celebrating Our AP and IB Results - Congratulations to the students and faculty for their performance on the May 2014 AP and IB Examinations!  In this week’s Head of School Newsletter you no doubt read the details of AISC’s excellent performance in these college level examinations. Rather than repeating the details here, I would like to take a moment to highlight the fine work of a number of our AP students.
