Congratulations to all students who participated in the Celebration of Learning! What an honor to hear students talk about their learning. A promotional film of the event is being produced and will be shared with the community as soon as it is finished!

A Note from the Fun Night Out Parent Group
Last Friday night's FNO featured Bowling and Billiards at the Grand Mall in Velachery. Although the scores may not have been high, the enthusiasm and effort was. We also saw some techniques that might not be found in instruction manuals but certainly rated high on the creativity meter and were fun to watch! Enjoy some photos below of the night.
You won't want to miss the next FNO December 3.... Casino Night. It is sure to be a favorite and will be a great break before final exam studying begins!
Yearbook Photos Ready for Review and Order
Parents and students can now review the recent yearbook photos by clicking on "Yearbook Photos 2016-17" from the All School Page in Moodle. You may access Moodle using User ID -guest and the password - raptors16.
Families interested in ordering photos should complete and return this Order Form by November 6th. Payment may be done at the cashier's office. Please submit the completed form to the HS office. Prints will be ready for pick up after December 5th.
Upcoming Parent Coffee - Save the Date
Our next coffee will be on Tuesday, October 25th at 8:45 am in the BBT. Mr. Malone, our AP/IB Coordinator, will give a review of the AP and IB Programs using hands on resources, a jigsaw learning experience and a low stakes Kahoot game as a review! As the IB program is more complex, know that the majority of the review will concentrate on that program with a full explanation of how the IB and AP programs differ and may meeting the needs of a range of students.
Introducing Deb Lee
Ms. Deb Lee, our choir teacher, was born in Korea and is the youngest of three children. When she was only two years old she moved to New Delhi which is where she grew up. Ms. Lee is proud of her third culture kid identity - something she wears with pride - while still maintaining her Korean culture and language. Ms. Lee went to the US for university and was all too happy to return to India to work at AISC four year ago. The most exciting thing she has done (so far) in her career was to perform at the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. Her proudest moments as a teacher come when she is able to influence a student who didn’t believe his/she could sing to realize that nothing could be farther from the truth! Ms. Lee’s hobbies include traveling, taking photos and cooking and, when time permits, she can be found watching cooking shows, listening to podcasts and doing jigsaw puzzles. If Ms. Lee could have a superpower it would be teleportation. She would love never having to sit in traffic and to travel back and forth to and from the US without being in transit for 24 hours!
Next Early Release Wednesday Coming
On November 2nd, we will have our next Early Release Wednesday. Students are expected to depart campus in a timely and organized fashion. We appreciate your patience with traffic on these days. In preparation, please plan on allowing longer time for entry and exit to the school at release time. For our Middle and High School students, hot lunch will be served.
