Dear Parents,
We had a great turnout
for the Welcome Back Picnic last Saturday. We were blessed with a beautiful
day, and I enjoyed meeting friends old and new. Thanks to everyone who donated money
and bought food from the bake sale, our Operation
Smile Club raised over Rs 24,000.Because of you the club members will be
able to change the lives of two children born with cleft palates. Thanks for
your support!
Student Handbook Code
of Conduct forms – If you have
not signed and returned yours, please help us by doing so as soon as possible.
The form must have the signatures of the student and a parent or legal
guardian. Students who have not returned their forms by Monday will have their
access to Skyward and the school IT network restricted.
News from the Athletics
Director - The athletics department is excited to announce that the
Athletics Website has been launched. You can access it by going to the
Activities & Athletics site from the AISC home page. Please look it over
and give me your feedback. Note that due to security reasons several pages have
been password protected. Use your Moodle I.D. to access these pages. Enjoy the tour.

High School photographs for the Yearbook will be taken on
Wednesday. Please remind your child to dress appropriately (casual but neat) for
the photos as these will be used for the Yearbook and will become a part of
their memories of their high school years. The photos will also be made
available for sale in the next few weeks.
High School Parent Coffee – Mark your calendar! On Tuesday,
August 27 we will hold our first High School Parent Coffee to help parents
learn more about our Discover India program and about the high school Athletics
Program. This will take from 8:45 to
9:45 a.m. in the Black Box Theater. I hope to see you there.
Bollywood Dance Club -
For the past five years, students, parents and teachers have gotten together to
learn Bollywood dance moves and perform for our community. Each year the group
has been led by a high school student. This year the leader is freshman Arya Giri.

SAT preparation courses – The Kaplan Center of Chennai will
be offering SAT preparation courses on our campus starting on Saturday, August 31. The classes
will take place in the afternoon on Saturdays and are appropriate for students
in grades 11 and 12 only. For enrolment information, please call 9176639785/
